One of the basic principles of cycling training is that you don’t improve while you ride – you improve while you rest. Following a tough block of writing, I’m going to ease off a bit in the hope of being in good form come the Vuelta a Espana, which will start on the 24th of August.
Of course there will be a few updates between now and then, but they won’t appear daily. If you’ve grown used to visiting the site each day, now would be a good time to sign up for email updates – that way you don’t have to worry about missing anything because every post will be sent directly to your inbox.
Thanks very much for sticking with me throughout the Tour, even when I faded a bit in the closing stages. I hope you enjoyed the ride and aren’t too sore. Finally, if you’ve any suggestions about how I could do things better during future races, feel free to leave a comment or email me.
