What does Peter Sagan eat after a bike race?

Haribo.

Haribo Gold Bears, specifically.

One fistful, smushed into the mouth via the palms of both hands.

Here’s some footage, because I know that you’re yearning for footage.

I wrote more about this earth-shattering pro cycling development for my day job, because this isn’t the kind of news that you’d only do one article about.

That article has details such as what race it was and what happened in that race, because when you’re a reporter you’re apparently obliged to provide ‘facts’.

  1. Not a bad weekend for Luke Rowe either. He’ll need some luck to win either of the cobbled monuments (but then, doesn’t everyone) but 6th and 3rd is a good start to the classics season.

    1. If nothing else, it’ll be interesting to see who goes the better out of he and Ian Stannard.

True enough. Rowe appears to have the better early form but it’ll be interesting to see how he holds that through the next month.

Scary to think that Sagan will be a favourite for every race he’s in from now till PR. The pressure must be immense and barring injury or other career enders, if he doesn’t finish his career with 6+ monuments there’ll be people saying he underachieved.
